CODA Bespoke Variety Yorkshire Residential Property Awards

These awards raise substantial donations for Variety Yorkshire children's charity, a very worthy cause.

Grand Designs has been the television home of incredible property projects for over 20 years, and some of the creations have been truly inspired. With nearly 200 episodes in the archives, it has changed the way we think about self-building, compelling people up and down the country to undertake the daunting but rewarding experience of building their own home.

Some of the houses on the show have gone on to win awards, while others have stood out in the viewer’s memories for the uniqueness of their designs. Some of the houses are wacky and unusual, while others are truly inspiring pushing the boundaries of construction and design to the limit.

When we were approached with the offer to feature our Corn Yard project on the show how could we refuse. With the clients tight budget, their clear vision and the unusual plot it would be both a challenging and rewarding project to work on, but we relished the opportunity. Since the episode was aired almost a year ago the response has been overwhelming. The project has gone on to win regional awards and receive continued interest.

With so many iconic projects featured over the years it is an honour that ours stands out to so many people. As Grand Designs celebrates two decades of air time, we are therefore even more delighted to announce that the Corn Yard has been ranked 29th in a recent Telegraph article that celebrates the best projects from the show.
