As part of their Meet the Architect series, international design and architecture magazine Enki interviewed Abel Hinchliffe director at CODA Bespoke.
We are excited to announce that CODA Studios have been shortlisted in the Best Residential Consultancy/Advisory Practice category and Sky House in Best Innovation Project at the Variety Yorkshire Residential Property Awards on Thursday 10th October 2019 at Bowcliffe Hall.
These awards raise substantial donations for Variety Yorkshire children's charity, a very worthy cause.
Some of the houses on the show have gone on to win awards, while others have stood out in the viewer’s memories for the uniqueness of their designs. Some of the houses are wacky and unusual, while others are truly inspiring pushing the boundaries of construction and design to the limit.
When we were approached with the offer to feature our Corn Yard project on the show how could we refuse. With the clients tight budget, their clear vision and the unusual plot it would be both a challenging and rewarding project to work on, but we relished the opportunity. Since the episode was aired almost a year ago the response has been overwhelming. The project has gone on to win regional awards and receive continued interest.
With so many iconic projects featured over the years it is an honour that ours stands out to so many people. As Grand Designs celebrates two decades of air time, we are therefore even more delighted to announce that the Corn Yard has been ranked 29th in a recent Telegraph article that celebrates the best projects from the show.

We are truly overwhelmed at the continued acclaim we are receiving for Corn Yard and are delighted to announce that it was a winner at the 2019 RICS Regional Awards.
RICS Judges praised the project team – for delivering exemplary and stunning homes that integrate seamlessly with their surrounding community, whilst providing a unique aesthetic contrast. This is due to the use of steel as the primary material on the homes to represent Sheffield's industrial heritage.
Our Corn Yard project has been featured on the world's most popular and influential architecture and design magazine Dezeen. Read the full article here >>
