We are thrilled to present our latest project which has achieved planning approval in the popular commuter town of Sale. It involves the erection of an extension, along with a range of other exciting enhancements.

This project centres around the transformation of an existing dwelling, incorporating an oak frame part single-storey and part two-storey rear extension.

Our design approach focuses on improving the occupants' connection and outlook to their garden, as the property is nestled within a generous plot of landscaped gardens and woodland. The proposed extension not only expands the living space, but also optimises the views and access to the natural surroundings.

To enhance the overall energy performance and efficiency of the dwelling, our design includes improvements to the thermal fabric. This will contribute to a more comfortable living environment while reducing energy consumption and costs.

The oak frame, a defining feature of this project, beautifully blends the materiality of the built form with the external context. It serves as both a structural element and an architectural highlight. The oak frame offers a south-facing first-floor terrace accessible from the master bedroom, providing an idyllic retreat for relaxation and enjoyment of the surroundings. Additionally, it acts as solar shading for the proposed ground floor living areas, mitigating overheating issues during the summer months.

In addition to the extension, our planning application includes an external outbuilding to provide leisure and exercise amenities. It also includes the installation of solar panels. This sustainable energy solution underscores our commitment to minimising the environmental impact while providing long-term cost savings for the homeowners.

As part of the elevation alterations, our design incorporates a new front porch and a rear balcony. These additions not only enhance the visual appeal of the property, but also offer functional spaces for outdoor living and entertainment.
